Easy access to innovative new products – Amazon Launchpad review
What’s it like being one of the first to spot a new idea, or to use a product before anybody else?
This Amazon Launchpad review is for you!
You’re first in the queue ready to test a new invention; wanting everyone else to know about the Startup you’ve come across which created the “next big thing” and solved a unique problem.
You’ll be surprised how many Startups you notice, once you start looking.
A Startup means “a newly established business”
One of the platforms to showcase Startups is “Amazon Launchpad” – unveiled in July 2015, it gives direct access to fresh new product ideas by partnering with well-known crowdfunding platforms, startup accelerators and venture capital funds.
The main difference between this platform and others, is that the products have already been created, funded, and tested in beta – so you won’t literally be one of the first to use them, but you’ll still be ahead of the mainstream commercial user.
Amazon Launchpad’s divided into four categories:

What does Amazon Launchpad include?
For the buyer:
- Startup products – as at March 2016, there are 370 products listed costing as little as £3 to as much as £3000
- Startup product information – as expected, Amazon Launchpad includes product image, description, pricing and reviews. However, many listings also include a video showing how the product works
- About the Startup – each Startup’s asked to describe their product in three sentences; how they came up with their product idea; what makes their product special and what’s been the best part of the startup experience?
- Competitive pricing – the sheer scale of Amazon’s supply and demand drives down product pricing
- Amazon Launchpad email list – receive information about new Startups added to the platform

For the seller:
- Amazon Launchpad invitation – receive an invitation for your Startup to be included in Amazon Launchpad
- Amazon storefront – custom product pages, inventory management and marketing materials
